At the time of death the saint person was 87 years old. He was born on Koh Samui in 1879 in the village of Taling Nam, at the age of 21 he received tonsure and as pilgrim went to Burma to learn spiritual knowledge and practices. The remaining 66 years of his life he devoted to Buddhism. According to local monks, nails and hair still grow in an imperishable body, from which amulets for tourists are made in the temple.

The temple complex was founded in 1900. It consists of several carved towers, picturesquely decorated in the ancient Thai style, looks like not high bell tower and a cemetery with stupas, in which the remains of the venerable servants rest. On the territory of several statues of Buddha and other heroes of Eastern mythology, including Garuda - a humanoid creature with wings, beak and claws - symbolizes the guardian of knowledge, it also symbolizes Thailand - the deity is depicted on the emblem of the kingdom. There is also a sapodilla tree with bright orange persimmon-like date plum. At the gates the parishioners are met by two sculptures of elephants.
