The footprint of Buddha
The footprint of Buddha in the south of Samui is not a tourist attraction, even the monks from the nearby temples at the Laem So pagoda, do come here not often. However, to a curious person, the relic can be interesting.

The footprint is made in the form of a three-level recess in brickwork. On the edges of the foot there are images with various Buddha powers, usually 32, 132 or 108 characters of Guatama are drawn. Totally in the countries of Southeast Asia there are about three thousand footprints of the Buddha. Three of them are the most important. One is located in Sri Lanka, the second in China and the third in central Thailand. Brick casts or indentations in stones are not actual evidences of the main deity in Buddhism, but they remind us that Buddha appeared on Earth in the form of a human and symbolizes his path to enlightenment.
